Valentines Day inspirations.

Here are a few designers and artists who have beautiful products that inspire me. I have had the pleasure of working with ceramic artist May Luk, as well at stationary designer, Ruth from Papertopias. I have also been working on a new line of jewelry that groups semi precious stones in a way that looks like a flower. This particular necklace is made with black onyx and freshwater pearl. And, finally, last but not least, a hair adornment by Twigs and Honey.
Happy Valentines Day all!

Ice cream sunday inspired flowers at Lovely Bridal Salon

The gals from Lovely called me to see if I would come up with some fun flowers for the Carol Hannah trunk show last week. I was thrilled to find out that the theme was "an ice cream social." All I kept thinking of was strawberry ice cream and sprinkles, hence the super girly bouquet. I used this gorgeous pink hydrangea, white dahlias, green mums, pink roses, queen ann lace, and yes.... pink carnations. I too hated carnations for the longest time, but, am now finding that when in context, they offer a sweet, vintage feel that no other flower has to offer. I am officially a fan of carnations, especially because they are coming in some super fabulous bold new colors.
I tied a bright turquoise ribbon around the handle with some old keepsakes that I often like to incorporate from the brides. I also may some little party favors for people to take home including old school candy canes which were bound to a water tube containing a few stems of red spray roses, pink lisianthus, and green mums. *Note to brides.... this would be a SUPER cute card table idea.....

Floral samples for Lovely Bridal boutique, NYC

Lovely opened it's doors only three months ago and it quickly becoming known for it's super cozy atmosphere and fantastic wedding dresses. It's a shop that anyone would feel totally comfortable trying on one dress, or three. When I heard that Water's was having a trunk show at Lovely, I jumped on the opportunity to have my florals there for ladies to touch, hold and image what they would want for their big day. What's better than live music, gorgeous dresses, and Bespoke Chocolates all being captured on camera by the talented Jen Huang photographer!
