Wedding at The Foundry, L.I.C. by Rebecca Shepherd floral design

This wedding took place on September 9th, one of the most gorgeous days of the year. This was also one of my favorite weddings this year to design. We kept is sophisticated and modern with a touch of glam-goth! We used David Austin patience garden roses, bells of Ireland, black star callas, red ranunculus, cymbidium orchids, chocolate cosmos, and the exquisite Tacca orchids for the over the top dramamarama additive. These are by far the most unusual orchids I have even encountered. We used them in special places like the bridal bouquet, the cake table, and scattered on the long table.  Another one of my favorite touches were the mixed silver and gold chairs and silverware. Montauk Club wedding flowers. Pink and chocolate!

This wedding took place on June 11th at the gorgeous Montauk Club in park slope Brooklyn. This venue as some of you know, it one of my fav's. Stained glass, gorgeous wood, and beautiful back drop for outdoor photos.
The bride wanted everything in shades of pink, chocolate, whites and greens. We used hydrangea, peony, freesia, burgundy scabiosa, lisianthus, spray rose geranium and more.

Brooklyn wedding!

Dramatic, elegant, avant-garde, overgrown; there are all words that I would describe this intimate wedding affair. The ceremony took place at the brides gorgeous Brown stone in Carroll Gardens. We hung a family heirloom, tallis in the door frame for the focal point of the ceremony. We hung tea lights along with some champagne ribbon interspersed between the tea lights over head. At the base of where they were standing was a group of tall pillar candles in clear glass for a sophisticated, romantic effect. The party then took place at the Clover club on Smith street. With it's gorgeous tin ceiling, wood work and tile floors, we set the tone by using all vintage brass ware with eggplant, peach, and rashpberry colored blooms like fritterella, garden roses, deep red cymbidium orchids, dark foliage, lisianthus and jasmine. It was a pleasure to work with the gals from Little Miss Party Planners as well as the ultra talented Levi Stolove Photography!

Bowery Hotel wedding flowers.

I almost never post the very next day from a wedding, but, I am excited to share these with you. The colors were white, ivory, sage green, blush, and peach. We used juliet roses, anemone, amaryllis, orchids, spray roses, ranunculus, lisianthus and hydrangea. The reception was at the super cool Bowery Hotel in NYC on February 25th. Brooklyn wedding at Bubby's in Dumbo.

This sweet at pie couple gave me total creative freedom to create their "modern woodland" style wedding flowers. They liked bold colors, brown bottles, and eclectic style. I can't remember exactly what the groom's fascination with larges pieces of drift wood came from, but, I think it was from a trip he and his now wife took together? Non the less, he brought this up and I got fixated on finding the perfect piece of wood for a card table display. I had this piece of wood drilled to fit water tubes in so we could create a look where the flowers looked as though they were growing out from it. We all loved it and it was super fun! Some of the flowers used for this October 23rd wedding were purple asters, fern, fiddle head ferns, billy balls, yellow ranunculus, celocia, stock, and wax flowers.
